Warming Fire – Guided Meditation

Here is a beautiful 5 minute guided meditation script for you to read to your little ones. This meditation is written with a focus on all 5 senses, a brilliant calming technique to gain focus or to prepare for sleep.

Take a deep breath in and a slow breath out. A deep breath in and a slow breath out… as your body relaxes into the ground (mat/bed) close you eyes.

Pause, 1, 2, 3, 4.

Begin to imagine the fire place beside you. You see the wood is stacked up tall, the flames weaving in and out of the kindling. Fiery colours of red, orange and yellow fill your mind.

Pause, 1, 2, 3, 4.

As you lay here you start to hear the crackling sound of the fire beside you. It makes a fizzing sounds as the water bubbled out of the logs. The sounds is so soft and soothing to your ears. It feels as tho the fire is playing a song just for you.

Pause, 1, 2, 3, 4.

You smell the wonderful scent of firewood burning on the fire. The smoke rises up, filling the room and your nose with magical smells of pinecones and cherrywood. It calms your nasal as you breath in all the beautiful smells. Your breath moves in and out effortlessly.

Pause, 1, 2, 3, 4.

You begin to taste the sweet burning wood on your tastebuds. It tastes warm at the back of your throat and gently soothes you.

Pause, 1, 2, 3, 4.

You feel warmth of the fire beginning to warm your entire body. It begins at the tips of your toes and rises all the way up to the top of your head. The warmth calms your body and you sink deeper and deeper into the ground beneath you. It feels so good that you allow a subtle smile to appear upon your face. The warmth of the fire feels so good.

Pause, 1, 2, 3, 4.

Take a deep breath in…and a slow breath out.

Begin to wiggle your fingertips.

Stretch your arms up over your head…

…and gently open your eyes.
